Overview
I am a Research Scientist at NASA Ames Research Center in the Space Science and Astrobiology Division. My research focuses on the characterization of exoplanet atmospheres using spectroscopy.
From a theoretical perspective, I lead several projects aimed at developing open-source atmospheric models for the broader community, including PICASO, PandExo, and Virga. These tools all enable the characterization of atmospheres of substellar objects including exoplanets and brown dwarfs. From an observational perspective, I use space based (HST and JWST) and ground based observatories to obtain spectroscopic data of substellar atmospheres.
In addition to my research, I am passionate about science communication, outreach, and mentorship. I have worked with various organizations to expand access to educational resources and STEM opportunities accross many communities.
